Office for National Statistics - Load Testing

InterWeave Consulting is providing load testing skills and resources to test the Census online application up to its full rated load of approximately 160,000 simulataneous users. Using cloud computing resources and tools from a number of partners this testing will verify the overall system capability, over the Internet, simulating the full load situation as specified in the original requirements.

InterWeave has provided Internet strategy and deployment advice to the ONS for the last two years. This is principally related to the online aspects of the 2011 Census, which will briefly be the largest website in the UK. InterWeave has provided advice on issues such as:

Office for National Statistics - Project Management and Analysis

In an initial engagement, Interweave produced project plans and analysis for the downstream processing of the census data, including a strategy to modularise the processing to allow cloud computing type approaches to be used.
